You're almost there

Here are some important tips to get you on the right track

The b-there tool is designed to connect cancer patients with their supporters. Yet, during these times of need, we also see it providing families, friends, and neighbors the info they need to connect and ensure vulnerable community members receive the support desired to stay healthy, hopeful, and safe.

When using b-there, you will log in either as a patient (the person or household needing support) or a supporter (the person or organization providing support). Review the info below that best fits your situation.

Since this is the beta version of b-there, not everything will be perfect. But with your help, we can work toward making it that way. Please let us know what you think. Setting Up Your PATIENT Account

When you sign in as a Patient for the first time, you will be taken to the Dashboard, which is your default page as a Patient. Proceed with the following steps to set up your account (in the order below):

 

STEP 1: EDIT YOUR PROFILE PAGE

  • Click on the Edit Profile link to get to your profile page. You must enter a first name, last name, and phone number (email is already entered). This info is required before you proceed to invite your first Supporter in your network. Watch Tutorial 

 

STEP 2: EDIT YOUR STATUS PANEL

  • At a minimum, add your profile picture. Your short diagnosis, daily status, visit status and mood meter can be entered here as well or edited on your profile page. Watch Tutorial

 

STEP 3: ADD NETWORK MEMBERS

  • You must have at least one Member of your Network before the Calendar, Wishlist, and Messaging features will work. Invited Network Members must accept your invite request before they are added to your Network. When their profile picture is displayed on your network page, the connection is complete. If you sent someone an invite and they haven’t accepted yet, contact them to let them know. Watch Tutorial

 

STEP 4: SAVE THE LINK

  • While still on the b-there website, add a bookmark, create a shortcut (copy the URL and paste on your desktop), or add b-there to your phone’s home screen (click on the upper right menu and select Add to Home screen). That way, getting back to the login page is a piece of cake!

 

NOW YOU’RE READY TO START USING B-THERE!

  • Click the Request Access button below. After filling out the form, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know your account is ready. Be sure to check your spam or junk mail just in case it got a little lost along the way. If you don’t receive a confirmation email, contact us so we can help you out.

Setting Up Your SUPPORTER Account

When you sign in as a supporter for the first time, you will be taken to the Network Page, which is your default page as a supporter. Proceed with the following steps to set up your account (in the order below):

 

STEP 1: EDIT YOUR PROFILE PAGE

  • Click on the Edit Profile link to get to your profile page. You must enter a first and last name and phone number. Do this prior to accepting your first network member invite. Watch Tutorial

 

STEP 2: EDIT YOUR STATUS PANEL

  • At a minimum, add your profile picture. As a supporter, your profile picture, daily status descriptor, and visit status are the only items displayed. Watch Tutorial

 

STEP 3: ACCEPT NETWORK INVITES

  • You must have at least one Patient in your Network before the Calendar, Wishlist, and Messaging features will work. You must accept the Patient’s invitation for support. When the Patient’s profile picture appears on your Network page, the connection is complete. Watch Tutorial

 

STEP 4: SAVE THE LINK
